Mr. Richard Marvin Gunter, age 82 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home. Mr. Gunter was born on February 20, 1930 in Marietta, GA to the late James Alfred and Emma Etta King Gunter. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church of Epworth, GA. Mr. Gunter served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.He is survived by his wife, Charlene Clark Gunter of McCaysville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Richard and Sharon Gunter of Dallas, GA; three daughters, Pamela Rymin and Jon Bloom of Atlanta, GA, Susan Wells and husband, Louis of Jasper, GA and Gale Norred of McCaysville, GA; brother, Denward Gunter of FL; sister, Marilyn Shaffer of Marietta, GA; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.A memorial service was conducted Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church Epworth, GA with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.
