Rev. Glen Taylor, age 71, of Farner, TN passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Glen was born in Farner and was a son of the late Homer and Lena Ledford Taylor. He was a Carpenter and a member of Community Baptist Church.He was a minister in the area for thirty seven years pastoring several churches. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and had an extended family that he loved as his own.He is survived by his loveing wife of forty eight years, Roberta Jones Taylor of the home; daughters, Sondra Stillwell (Newell Deal) of Chatsworth, GA, Lisa (Ed) Peels of Old Fort, TN; brother, Hoyt (Eleece) Taylor of Farner, TN; sisters, Jewell (Randall) Allen, Betty Allen, Marie Cochran, all of Farner, TN; nine grandchildren, James (Tiffany) Mathis, Amber (Matt) Davis, Tabatha Stillwell, Josh Stillwell, Levi Peels, Rusty Peels, Eddie Peels, Miracle Peels and James (Tabatha) Peels; nine great-grandchildren, Clayton Mathis, Taylor Mathis, Jackson Mathis, Gracelynn Mathis, Logan Davis, Loren Davis, Jace Peels, Ashton Peels and Peyton Slade. Many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Allen and Eddie Allen officiating. Music will be by Kenny O'Neal and the Community Baptist Church Youth Singers. Pallbearers include Matthew Davis, Jamie Mathis, Joshua Stillwell, Ryan House, Robert Allen, Raymond Allen, Randy Payne and Matthew Allen. Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
