Rev. Wyndom Marvin Roberts, age 62, of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 in the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Rev. Roberts was born in Cherokee County, NC and was a son of the late Jim & Bonnie Young Roberts. He was an Ordained Baptist Minister over 20 years and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a former Pastor of Welcome Hill # 1 Baptist Church in Mineral Bluff, GA and was a former announcer at WLSB Radio Station in Copperhill.He is survived by his wife Eleane Allen Roberts of the home; one daughter, Bangel and husband Harrison Norton of Blue Ridge, GA; one brother, M.F. & wife Mona Lee Roberts of Dalton, GA; one sister, Ruth Douthit of Blairsville, GA; two grandchildren Melissa Cordell & B.J. Norton; four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Molly and Heaven Cordell and Hannah Norton.Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ed O'Neal and Rev. Melvin O'Neal officiating. Music was by the O'Neal Family and M.F. Roberts. Pallbearers included Doyle Payne, B.J. Payne, Dexter Payne, James Leonard, Virgil Allen and B.J. Norton.
