Rev. Max Delane Pittman, Jr. age 48 of Ducktown, TN went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1971 in Decatur, GA. Rev. Pittman was an equipment operator with Byers Well Drilling. He was a member and a former pastor, for over six years, of Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Pittman was a former member of Coletown Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Tina Hall Pittman of Ducktown, TN; children, Jessie Long (Rob) of Powder Springs, GA, Johnathan Lee Braswell (Laura) of Ellijay, GA, Amber Lee Maney of Blue Ridge, GA, Kourtney Pittman of McCaysville, GA and John Ross Doll of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, Alyssa Long, Ansley Long, Jonah Braswell, Aliza Braswell, Hunter Craze and Laney Craze; parents, Max Delane Pittman, Sr. and Helen Ruth Deal Pittman of McCaysville, GA; sisters, Patricia Gilliam of Morganton, Ga and Cindy Pittman Day of Morganton, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John Hall, Jr. (Tonie) of Calhoun, GA and Judy Chance (Marvin) of Ellijay, GA and best friend, Jeff Lockett of Murphy, NC. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Keith Raper officiating. Eulogy will be by Lon Dillard. Poem will be by Amber Maney. Music will be by Dalton Gilliam. Interment will follow in the Pan-Will Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Dilbeck, Steven Dilbeck, Cody Dilbeck, Chris Gilliam, Dalton Gilliam, Junior Deal and Marty Deal.
