Obituary

Rev. Roger Dan Hyatt, age 74, of Copperhill, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Blue Ridge. He was born on November 22, 1943 in Copperhill to the late James Daniel Hyatt and Isabella Deal Hyatt. Rev. Hyatt begin his ministry in 1970. He established the Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy in 1973. Rev. Hyatt was the pastor and a member of Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy. He retired from Tennessee Chemical Company as a roasters foreman. Rev. Hyatt and his wife, Carol were the owners and operators of Roger and Carols Quick Burger. He loved deer hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, camping out and was a Tennessee Volunteer's fan.He is survived by wife of fifty-five years, Carol Brown Hyatt of Copperhill, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Bradford "Brad" (Treva) Hyatt of Turtletown, TN, Rodney Dan (Heidi) Hyatt of Copperhill, TN and David Wayne (Rhonda) Hyatt of Copperhill, TN; three brothers and sister-in-law, Ralph Hyatt, Walter (JoAnn) Hyatt and Ricky Hyatt; sister, Karen Hyatt Stillwell; grandchildren Andrew Hyatt, Amanda Hyatt, Adam (Myra) Hyatt, Christopher Hyatt, Caitlyn Hyatt (Jacob) Bettis, Chase Hyatt, Brittany Hyatt, Brianna Hyatt (Jordan) Farmer, Nathan Hyatt and Ashley Hyatt and great-grandchildren, Carson Rehagen, Cannon Rehagen, Caleb Rehagen, Alexis Hyatt, Addison Hyatt, Alivia Hyatt, Kinsley Ross, Hayden Hughes, Danner Hyatt and Neyland Farmer also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Todd Chancey and Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Music was by Treva Hyatt, Heidi Hyatt and Rhonda Hyatt. Interment followed in the Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Hyatt, Rodney Hyatt, David Hyatt, Andrew Hyatt, Adam Hyatt, Christopher Hyatt, Nathan Hyatt and Chase Hyatt. Honorary Pallbearers were Jordan Farmer, Rodney Ross, Jacob Bettis, Ralph Hyatt, Walter Hyatt and Ricky Hyatt. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy at 145 Cougar Drive, Copperhill, TN 37317.
