Rev. Jack Delbert Burkett, Sr., age 86 of Turtletown passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1935 in Van Buren, AR to the late Addie James Burkett and Myrtle Rowe Burkett. Rev. Burkett was a Pentecostal Minister for fifty-eight years. He worked civil service at NAS Lemoore Air Base Aviation Scrap Yard disabling aircraft and bombs. He was a true cowboy, training racing horses and racing greyhounds. Rev. Burkett was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Stella Faye Burkett; children, Deborah Faye Burkett, Cheryl Burkett, Pamela Burkett and Mark Andrew Burkett. Survivors are son, Jack Delbert Burkett, Jr. (Charmagne) of Turtletown, TN; grandchildren, Raymond Burkett of Monett, MO, Deborah and Ed Trier of Rockford, IL, Sharon and Robert Myer of Lynchburg, VA, Jack D. Burkett, III (Maggie Hughes) of Blue Ridge, GA, Sabrina and Terry Ross of McCaysville, GA, Joshua and Deeann Burkett of Mineral Bluff, GA and Rocky and Kayleen Burkett of Turtletown, TN; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Burkett of Hanford, CA and three brothers surviving. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Denise Caldwell and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music will be by Rev. Denise Caldwell. Pallbearers will be Cole Burkett, Chris Trentham, Carson Burkett, Logan Burkett. Chase Trentham, Kyle Trentham, Jack Burkett, III and Joshua Burkett, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to help defray final expenses.
