Mr. Reggie L. Burnette, age 32, of Cherry Log, GA passed away on Sunday December 16, 2007 at his home following an extended illness. Reggie was born in Bradley County, TN on August 23, 1975. He was a 1994 graduate of Fannin County High School. Reggie was an avid Hunter and Fisherman who loved the outdoors. He served as a board member of the Fightingtown Creek Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Reggie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially with his little boy, Noah. He was truly a special and tender hearted person who will be missed by so many. He is survived by his wife, Mindy Holloway Burnette of the home; one son, Noah Leander Burnette of the home; father and mother, Junior and Linda Burnette of Morganton, GA; brother and sister in law, Brian and Allison Johnson of Epworth, GA, grandmothers, Bernice Bowers Garren of Morganton, GA, Margie Key of Cherry Log, GA and Joyce Butler also of Cherry Log, GA; mother and father in law, Steve and Renee Holloway of Cherry Log, GA; brother in law, Ben Holloway currently of Iraq; sister in law, Brittany Cruise of Cherry Log, GA; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Joan Walker Burnette, and mother in law, Sherri Holloway. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home chapel with Min. Dennis Morris officiating. Congregational music was led by Min. Stephen Morris. Pallbearers were Brent Ware, Kiley Brown, Wesley Jones, Joe Chancey, Adam Norton, Jeffrey Holloway, William Collins, and Robert Ensley.
