Rebecca Ann "Becky" Hicks Womble, age 51, of Farner, TN, passed away Sunday, October 7th . Rebecca was a native of the Copper Basin area and was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Gertrude Jones Hicks, a sister, Betty Allen, niece, Kim Allen and brother, Lynn Pates. She had worked at "The Spot" retail store. She is survived by daughter, Jessica Womble of Farner, TN; brothers, Sid Hicks of Hiawassee Dam, NC, Troy Hicks and T.J. Hicks, both of Farner, TN, Melvin Hicks of Turtletown, TN, Luna Hicks of Texas; sisters, Minnie Mashburn of Farner, TN, Lillian Dillard of Murphy, NC; boyfriend Rex Allen of Farner, TN; special friends, Julie Walden, Hope Key, Angie Brendle and Erica Hyatt; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 10th at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. Pallbearers were Kari Patterson, Chris Mealer, Aaron Mealer, Jeff Mashburn, Jesse Pritchett and Stacey Mashburn. Interment followed in the Brock cemetery.
