Rebecca Lea Clark, age 44, of McCaysville passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Blue Ridge Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1978 in Blue Ridge to James Charles Fortner and Shirley Fortner. She is preceded in death by her mother.

She was a beacon of light in her personal life. Rebecca found solace and joy in riding through the mountains and fishing in the lake. She was fond of travelling and trying new things.

It was time spent with her family that truly ignited her spirit. Rebecca adored every moment she shared with her husband of 18 years, Richard Clark. She was a devoted mother to her children, Alec and wife Becca Geisler, Christina Geisler, and Ritchie Clark. Her memories will be cherished by her surviving father, James Fortner; brother, Dale Fortner; and her niece, Tallie Fortner; as well as a granddaughter on the way.

A visitation to honor Rebecca's life will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funeral Home in Blue Ridge.
