Raymond E. Carringer, age 77 of Winter Springsgraduated to Heaven to be with his Savior on Mondayafternoon, June 4, 2018 with his family present. Hewas born in Murphy, NC in 1941.He was of strong work ethic and spirit. He loved peopleand it was said "he never met a stranger". He hasworked in produce, owned a service station, furniturestores, and drove trucks; but most of all he was knownfor his love and success in the furniture industry as amanufacture sales representative and later a nationalsales manager. Raymond was solid in his faith, abeliever and follower of Jesus Christ, and did not mindtelling anyone about his Savior. He was a generousman who loved helping others and forwarding the cause of Christ. He enjoyed attending hischurch, Starlight Baptist Church in Winter Springs, having fellowship with his friends, but mostof all he loved being with his family. He cherished family vacations, cookouts at the house ifthe family was there he was happy!He is preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Reba Carringer of Blue Ridge, Georgia.He is survived by his wife, Vernette Carringer of nearly 56 years; Sons, Pastor Rex (Christy)Carringer and Pastor Mike (Christy) Carringer; Sisters, Lyn Lord and Nancy (Rusty) Arp;Grandchildren, Nicole (Nathan) Pitts, Keith (Bethany) Carringer, Kurt (Rylee) Carringer, LukeCarringer, Hannah Carringer and Stephen Carringer; Great Grandchildren, Mavrick Pitts, EllianaCarringer, two on the way and hopes of many more.Celebration of Life Service and viewing will be conducted on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at StarlightBaptist Church, 350 Hayes Road, Winter Springs, Florida. Viewing begins at 11:30 a.m. and theservice at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in ForrestCity, Florida.
