Mr. Randy Lee Vickers, age 59, of Murphy, NC went home to be in the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Mr. Vickers was a born in Flint, MI on February 10, 1956. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Murphy, NC and was a self employed Plumber. He enjoyed many hobbies with one special being Nascar Racing in which his cousin, Brian Vickers races the #55 Toyota Camry with Michael Waltrip Racing. Other hobbies he enjoyed were woodworking and his farm animals. He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Ryan Vickers of the home; children, Misty (Jeff) Phillips, Jesse (Angela) Vickers, Raechel (Tim) Olson, Eric (Julie) Vickers; parents, Lynnwood and Anna Mae Vickers; brothers, Reggie (Denise) Vickers, Mikael (Kim) Vickers; six grandchildren, Joey, Liam, Gypsy, Tristan, Katie and Matthew; Many aunts, uncles, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A celebration of Randy's life will be held on Saturday, March 7th at 5:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Harper, Rev. Brad Ledford and Rev. Joshua Ledford officiating. Music will be by the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Choir. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
