The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Randy Olvey, age 45, of Copperhill, TN who passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Randy was self-employed as a landscaper and was a native of the Copper Basin area.He is survived by his mother, Mildred Olvey Gaddis of the home; His grandmother, Nellie Mae Olvey of Copperhill, TN; Many aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. G.W. Mathis officiating. Music will be by Edward Vest. Pallbearers include, Johnny Wayne Mealer, Frank Welch, Paul Allen, Lewis Baliles, Travis Goss and Glen Falls. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill, Airport Road, Cemetery.
