Randall Lee Strickland, age 64, of Blue Ridge passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. Mr. Strickland was born on December 25, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Eugene Strickland and Frances Juanita Young Strickland. He was a man of many trades, but worked most of his life welding and operating a CNC machine. He was most recently employed at Chart Industries. He loved his family with everything in him and never missed an opportunity to pick on them and give them a hard time. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Goddard Strickland; children, Nathen (Misty) Strickland and Mandy Crane; siblings, Larry (Linda) Strickland and Timmy (Tina) Strickland; grandchildren, Kayla Greene, Kelsey Greene, Skyler Greene, Caden Strickland, and Madison Deal; great-grandchildren, Sophia Greene, Kyson Greene, and Kade Green. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Webb officiating. Interment followed the service in the cemetery of First Baptist Church Epworth with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Josh Wilson, Shawn Wilson, Anthony Crawford, Willy Weaver, Nathen Strickland, Archie Grunion and Billy Strickland. Honorary pallbearers were George Greene, Timmy Strickland, Larry Strickland, David Rodgers, Jerry Hawkins, Brandon Crosby, Sophia Greene, Todd Gedmin, and Danny Strickland.
