Mr. Ralph Elvin Williams, age 84, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on December 29, 2011 at the Union County Nursing Home. Born in Copperhill, TN he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Alice Williams. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from L & N Railroad later known as CSX as a Railway Clerk after forty years of service. He was also a lifetime member of the Epworth First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty nine years of marriage, Mrs. Stella Loudermilk Williams. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Van and Dr. Kimberly Williams of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters and son-in-laws, Lesa and Dr. Tom Marquardt of Greenlake, WI and Rhonda and Frank Finfrock of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Frances Queen of Epworth, GA and Pat Dennis of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan) Marquardt, Justin Marquardt, Jacob Marquardt, Joshua (Michelle) Finfrock, Sarah (Zach) Broomfield, David (Jessica) Finfrock, Abigail Williams and Emma Williams; great grandchildren, David Andrew Broomfrield, Mary Grace Broomfield, Joshua Paul Broomfield and Declan Marquardt; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday January 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Epworth, 447 Madola Road, Epworth, GA 30541, with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Doug Simonds, Krystie Daves and Kerrie Touchstone. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jonthan Marquardt, Justin Marquardt, Jacob Marquardt, David Finfrock, Frank Finfrock, Brett Dennis, Ken Cook, and Mike Queen. Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of the Adult Men IV Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Epworth, GA. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Epworth, GA Church Cemetery with full military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
