Mr. Ralph Alvin Seabolt, age 81, of McCaysville, GA, passed away on December 28, 2016 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late William Elisha and Della Bright Seabolt. He retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company in 1987 as a Railroad Engineer. He was a long time member of the McCaysville Methodist Church. Ralph volunteered his time for seven years for Disabled Veterans by transporting for doctor and other various appointments. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Ramona Thomas Seabolt of the home; sons and daughter-in-laws, Dr. Russell and Debbie Seabolt of Blue Ridge, GA, and Jeff and Melanie Seabolt of Epworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Stephens Gregory of Taylors, SC; sister, Mary Padgett of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Whitney and husband Abe Gaeta, Aaron Seabolt, Matthew Seabolt, Sarah Seabolt, Walker Gregory and Dilland Gregory.Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kilpatrick and Rev. T. Reamsnyder officiating. Music was provided by Kristy Thomas Daves and Kerrie Thomas Touchstone. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as pallbearers: Aaron Seabolt, Matthew Seabolt, Abe Gaeta, Greg Seabolt, Eddie Ballew, and Louis Thomas.
