Rachel Ann Henson, age 70 of Blue Ridge GA passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at home. She was born on June 12, 1947 to the late Herman Leon Henson and Elizabeth Ann Allen Henson. Rachel worked at Levi Strauss Manufacturing Company as a sewing machine operator. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors are her husband, Ray Odom of Blue Ridge, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Tracy Payne of Blue Ridge, GA, Mikey and Amanda Payne of Ellijay, GA and Nick and Jean Coleman of Talking Rock, GA; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Michael and Diane Odum of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Jimmy Ritter of Blue Ridge, GA; step-daughter and step son-in-law, Paula and Rodney Holt of Ellijay, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Susan Henson of Mineral Bluff, GA and Zeke and Kathy Henson of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Charlie Couch of Mineral Bluff, GA, Pat and the late Michael Seabolt of Mineral Bluff, GA and Joan and Rex Hemphill of Blairsville, GA; seven grandchildren, Austin Ritter, Haley Ritter, Makayla Payne, Colby Green, Martin Coleman, Brittany Odom and Haley Odom and two great grandchildren, Lillie Ritter and Keara Ladehoff also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. John Newton and Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Music will be by The Dixieaires. Pallbearers will be Austin Ritter, Tom Miller, Adam Seabolt, Chris Couch and Nathan Henson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darren Green, Charles Kiker, Dakota Queen and Tyler Queen. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill (Hardscrabble Road) Baptist Church Cemetery.
