Rachel Albert Allen, age 91, of Copperhill, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Copperhill, on December 6, 1933, to the late William Locke and Mary Waters Locke. She attended Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church. Rachel worked for many years as a cook at Copper Basin Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband of 67 years, Raymond M. Allen; siblings, Richard Locke, Rhoda Deal, and Ethel Howard; and great-granddaughter, Eden Lily Uhlik.

Rachel is survived by her children and their spouses, Bryan and Joyce Allen, Kimberley Allen, and Karen and Michael Graves; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Essie Rymer and Margaret O'Neal; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Doyle Davis officiating. Music was provided by Alex and Angie Deal. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church Cemetery with Brendan Allen, Jacob Allen, Zackery Reid, Connor Ledford, Cory Deal, and A.J. Uhlik serving as pallbearers. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
