Mrs. Phyllis Carbonell, age 60, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Wednesday December 10, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Carbonell was born in Knoxville, TN to the late William and Ruby Johnson Owen. She was a Certfied Public Accountant and a devoted member of the Crossover Community Church.Survivors include her husband Dr. Mels Carbonell of the home; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Curtis and Rose Carbonell of Jersey City, NJ, and Rob and Alicia Carbonell of Blue Ridge, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Kathy Owen of Blue Ridge, GA; aunts and uncles, Sonny, Bill and Marjorie all of Knoxville, TN; nephews, Kris and Kevin Owen both of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Gene and Jaden Carbonell. Funeral services were conducted Saturday December 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Crossover Community Church with Rev. Renny Ryder and Rev. Tony Vecchio officiating. Music was provided by Greg Norton and the Lewis family.
