Phyllis "Jayne" Long Beavers, age 68, of Morganton, passed away on November 21, 2018 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Calvin and Lucille Cavender Long. She worked for many years as a Supervisor for Levi Strauss. Jane was a member of the Concord Baptist Church for many years as well. Though she didn't have any children, she was an integral part of the lives of her family and was a mother to all of her nieces, nephews and other family members. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles "Chuck" Beavers, siblings, Bobby Long, Sue Tipton and infant Evelyn Long; great nephew, Carson Bobby Long; and two brothers-in-law, Stevie Beavers and Robert Beavers. Survivors include her step-children, Scotland Beavers and Michelle Beavers; sister, Lynda Daves of Morganton, GA; nieces and nephews, Tony (Penny) Daves, Mike Tipton, Mitchell (Dana) Tipton, Jackie (Jamie) Self, Calvin Long and Tayelor Long; great nieces and nephews, Alesha Daves Stiles (Brandon), Orin Daves, Willie Baldwin, Wiley Tipton, Shea and Lacey Tipton, Eric and Luke Seabolt, Josie Self and Chloe Addie Long; great great nieces, Karleigh-Jane Stiles and Bonnie Jean Stiles; sister-in-law, Terrie Long; brothers-in-law, Carl Beavers, Randall Beavers, Ronnie Beavers and other loving extended members of the Beavers family also survive. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, your local church or to the charity of your choice.
