Philip (Phil) Alan Ross passed away on September 19, 2026. He was born on September 14, 1954 to parents Alex and Dorothy, in Wheaton, Illinois. He married Virginia (Ginny) Lee Nuthall March 20, 1982.

Phil graduated from Northern Illinois University with a major in Communications. He worked in sales for Krehling Industries of Naples, Florida for 26 years. Phil was active in the Collier Building Industry Association and received Associate of the year. He and Ginny moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia in 2006.

Phil's greatest passion was music and the artists who composed it. He was also a great fan of movies.

He is survived by Virginia (Ginny) Ross; sibling, Leslie Ross and spouse, Nancy; sisters-in-law, Kathleen McClain and Sallie Crawford; niece, Rebecca Ross; as well as a host of other cousins, nephews, and relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Steffen Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made www.humanesocietyofblueridge.org.
