Mr. Peter Howard Olson, age 67, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1951 in Deer River, MN to the late Rueben and Margaret Grace Olson. He worked as a Low Voltage Technician for Data and Sound Specialties and retired from Teamsters. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and always being the first to offer a helping hand to those in need. He loved talking with others, tractors, woodworking, fishing, and taking care of his lawn. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gail Amundson Olson of the home; children, Patricia Olson and Erin Olson; step-children, Donna Sharkey and Danny True; grandchildren, Callie Sharkey and Katelyn True; and sisters, Darlene Philson and Virginia Olson. Per Mr. Olson's wishes, no services are planned at this time. A private interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.
