Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Scisson, age 90, of Epworth, formerly of Ducktown, TN, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, in the Fannin Regional Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Copper Basin, daughter of the late Isham and Margaret Stillwell. She was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church and had attended the McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Kenny Queen of Epworth, nephew, Wayne Stillwell of Ducktown, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 14, at 2:00 p.m. from the McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music was by Tammy Hall. Pallbearers were Wayne Stillwell, Jerry Fowler, Luther Patterson, Mike Shinpaugh, Dakota Queen, Tyler Queen and Benny Ensley. The body was moved to the church on Monday to lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements. .
