Pauline Wincey Raper, age 87, of Farner, TN, passed away August 19, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. She was born to the late George Washington and Nora Delitha Milsaps Davis in Ellijay, GA on May 24, 1932. She worked as a cook and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church in Farner, TN. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Dillard and Otis Charles Raper; two sons, Raymond Otis Dillard and Ricky Lee Dillard; brothers, Herman Clyde Davis, Curtis George Davis,Lee Davis, Warren Davis and William Young Davis; sisters, Willene Patterson, Myrtle Mae Milsaps and Nola Jane Lockmiller. She is survived by sons James Everett (Kathy) Dillard of Lawrenceville, GA, Ronnie Wayne Dillard and Danny Charles (Jackie) Dillard of Blairsville, GA, Step-son Charles Otis Raper of Ormond Beach, FL; daughters Nora Ann Sparks of Morganton, GA, Debra Jane (Benny) Kyle of Cherry Log, GA, Sharon Kay (Bill) Heatherly of Acworth, GA, and Karen Jo (Paul) Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA. Step-daughter Rachel Hart of Ormond Beach, FL. sister, Reathel Bryan of Blue Ridge, GA, 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jeff Davis, Donald Davis, Ronnie Davis, Ronnie Heatherly, Tony Rhodes and Bill Heatherly. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Life Care Center of Copper Basin and The Good Sheperds of Chattanooga.
