The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Paulina Burnette Huffman Davis, age 78, of McCaysville, GA, who passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her residence. Born December 2, 1928 in Polk County, TN, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Grantham Hawkins. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. She was a notary, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Morganton, GA and she loved cross word puzzles and crocheting. Mrs. Davis worked at the Blue Ridge Telephone Company for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack T. Burnette, Harold W. Huffman and Ernest Davis. She is survived by a two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy C. and Betty Burnette of Buford, GA, Jeryl T. and Sharon Burnette of Blue Ridge, GA; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn and Tommy Williams of Dalton, GA and Kathy Garland of McCaysville, GA; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Ernest German officiating. Music will be by Brian Pope and the Bearden Family. Interment will follow in the Barnes Chapel Cemetery.
