Mr. Paul Branty Robinson, age 70, of Morganton, GA passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his home. He was born in Webster Springs, WV on August 15, 1939 to the late Richard Charles Robinson and Adeline Williams Robinson. Mr. Robinson attended New Hope (Flint Hill) Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Ocoee Lodge #201 F&AM and was a United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Robinson of Morganton; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Teresa Robinson, Jr. of Morganton and George and Lora Robinson of Mineral Bluff; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecaa and Shawn Carver of Morganton; brothers, Roscoe Robinson of Walkersville, WV, Jim Robinson of Union City, TN, and Johnny Robinson of Bridgeport, WV; sisters, Rose Nissell of Roanoke, WV, Betty Mitchell of Roanoke, WV, Grace Alderman of Rock Cave, WV, Hazel Blake of Horner, WV, Nettie Gregory of Ireland, WV, and Katy Craig of Walkersville, WV; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray and Rev. John Newton officiating. Music was by Clara Henry, Angie Buchanan, Oscar Henry, Grady Ray, Jimmy Ritter, and Ray Ritchie. Pallbearers were Seth Robinson, Paul Robinson III, Zach Carver, Brady Carver, Jeff Rhodes, Josh Newton, Andrew Newton, and Matthew Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Bennett, Jimmy Bennett, Ernest Long, and Larry Green. Military Honors were by North Georgia Honor Guard and Masonic Honors were given by Ocoee Lodge #201 F&AM.
