Paul "David" Hayes, age 74, of Turtletown passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at his home. David was born on October 26, 1950 in Turtletown to the late William Wesley Hayes and Lola Irene Croft Hayes. He worked for many years as a hyster operator and line supervisor for Whirlpool. David attended the Farner Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora Mae Hayes; and siblings, Dorothy Green, Willie Eugene Hayes, George Hayes, and Nancy Hamby.

David is survived by his sister, Donna Duckworth, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Guinn Green and his wife, Anita Green. Interment followed in the Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family visited with friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
