Paul David Collins, age 84, of Copperhill, TN passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Mr. Collins was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Rev. Wade Henry and Grace Lugus Collins. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Ladonna Collins, brother, Roy Collins, brothers-in-law, Ronel Harris, Monroe Harris and David Hembree.He is survived by his loving wife, Dora Simonds Collins of the home; children, Doug (Stephanie) Collins, Jeff Collins, Regina (James) Talley, all of Ducktown, TN; brothers, Wade (Annette) Collins, Jr and Ike Collins, both of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Helen (Danny) Whitener, Mary Jane Trantham, Dorothy (Earl) Tipton, all of Copperhill, TN, Louise Harris of Gastonia, NC, Marie (Ronnie) Harris of Hickory Grove, SC; four grandchildren, Dustin Talley, Kayla Talley, Zachary Paul Collins and Anthony Bledsoe. And a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the New Hope Holiness Church with Rev. Randall Nicholson officiating. Music will be by Joel Nicholson and Rev. Randall Nicholson. Pallbearers include Jeff Collins, Scott Hembree, Stanley Thompson, Roger Thompson, Brandon Shields, and Ike Collins. Honorary Pallbearers include, Glen Hughes, Richard Stevens, Lewis Thompson, Perry Franklin, Wade Collins, Jr, and David Cross. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
