Mrs. Patsy Ruth Beaver, age 88, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1932, in Blue Ridge, to the late Henry Cass Davenport and Zenobia Victoria Ledford Davenport. Patsy was a member of O'Zion Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as pianist for 72 years. She was a member of the Morganton Chapter #394 Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Roy William Beaver; brother, Reid Davenport; and sisters, Lois Davenport, Helen Davenport, Imogene Dover, and Jo Ann Miller. Patsy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Claudia Beaver; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Alan Kisselburg; granddaughters, Allison Davis, Amanda Payne, and Rebecca Kasilus; great-grandchildren, Blake Davis, Megan Davis, Clara Payne, and Emily Payne; sister, Willie Abercrombie; and loving caregiver, Maria White. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music was provided by the O'Zion Baptist Church Choir, Rev. Wallace Parks, and Rev. Michael Pope. A eulogy was provided by Amanda Payne. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating. Pallbearers were Billy Dover, Mack Dover, Mitchell Dover, Joseph Dover, Hugh Davenport, and Blake Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Rev.
