Patricia Ann Thomas Neese, age 85 of Blue Ridge passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1940 in Blue Ridge to the late Joseph Lee Thomas and Virgie Lee McJunkins Thomas. Patricia was a dedicated LPN and worked much of her career at Wildwood Nursing Home. She attended Morganton Baptist Church for many years. Patricia enjoyed coloring and time spent with her family and cats. She looked forward to attending and fellowshipping at both class and family reunions. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell Thomas Young and sister, Alice Jean Seabolt.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Young (Jonnie Jo), Mark Young (Angie) and Belinda Young; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Young, Jonathan Young (Katie), Andrew Young, Caleb Young, Angelina Underwood (Jade), Amy Young, and Eli Young (fiancée, Kaitlin); great-grandchildren, Kristina Young, Russell David Young, Jensen Young, Judah Young, Ben Young, and Maggie Young; several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Eric Kincaid officiating. Eulogy was by Paul Young. Music was by Vickie White, Amy Young and Katie Young. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Christopher Young, Jonathan Young, Andrew Young, Caleb Young, Eli Young and Russell David Young. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
