Obituary

Pat Hubbard was born March 9, 1945 in Copperhill, TN, and was the oldest of 4 brothers and sisters.

Pat was a graduate of Truett McConnell College, where she graduated with honors. Pat worked for the Tennessee Copper Company in Copper Hill, TN and then had many years of service to the Department of Family and Children Services of The State of Georgia, where she retired.

Pat was very proud of her 3 children. Often found helping her daughter, Kim, with her business Studio 1 by selling tickets, snapping photos, or shuttling grandchildren. She was very proud of her son, Stephen, who was Naval Officer and frequently voiced her pride and patriotism for his service to the nation.

Pat cared for her 3rd son Jeff, who had Down Syndrome, his entire life and made strides in the Fannin County Community to expand access for Special Needs Children to Public services. This included establishing School Bus Services to transport Special Needs children to and from school activities. Pat volunteered with the Special Olympics, where Jeff competed.

Pat was extremely dedicated to her grandchildren. She served as the "non-official" photographer and historian for her family by documenting and photographing family events.

She cherished her favorite title: Grandmother, and spent all of her free time making memories with them by reading stories, creating treasure hunts, and playing games. One of her favorite things was decorating her home for the holidays, and driving around the family to look at Christmas lights.

Pat was a believer in Jesus Christ and had incredible faith in the promises of God, especially the power of prayer.

Pat was an avid reader, and had a formidable personal library. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and plants. She enjoyed relaxing in the beauty of nature, and knew how to appreciate the simple beauties of the trees swaying in the wind.

She was huge fan of Jimmy Buffett, Bon Jovi, Alan Jackson and Toby Keith. She was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and could often be spotted sporting her Tennessee Orange.

Pat passed peacefully into eternity with our Heavenly Father in the early morning of October 23rd, 2023 in Blue Ridge, GA with her family.
