Pastor Harley Ray Morrow, age 77, of Murphy, NC, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012. Mr. Morrow was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Lloyd Edward and Alice Graves Morrow. He was retired from construction as an Ironworker and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Fields of the Wood Church of God of Prophecy where he served as Pastor for two years and also served as Bishop. He faithfully served his Lord as Pastor to various churches around the United States.He is survived by his wife, Willa Mae Morrow of the home; children, Jerry Morrow of Blue Ridge, GA, Larry Morrow of Buford, GA, Ricky Morrow and Gary Morrow, both of Ducktown, TN, Caroline Mctyre of Birmingham, AL and Sheena Morrow of Murphy, NC; Siblings, Eldon Morrow of Andrews, NC, Glen Morrow of Farner, TN, Kenny Morrow of Turtletown, TN, Donnie Morrow of Ducktown, TN, Howard Morrow of McCaysville, GA, Pauline Cain of Copperhill, TN and Hazel Reid of Farner, TN; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 8, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Richard Morrow and Pastor Tim Morrow officiating. Music will be by Dan Morrow, Pastor Tim Morrow, Doris Wise and Janice Reid. Pallbearers include Greg, Rodney, Andy, Roger, Channon and Tyler Morrow, Doyle Payne, Bobby Ballew and Dexter Payne. Alex Heck will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery with full military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
