Pastor Bobby Dan Chastain, age 82, of Rockmart, Georgia, peacefully passed away on October 11, 2023, in the comfort of his home. He was born on February 21, 1941, in Fannin County to the late Rev. Jefferson Chastain and Lona Mae Campbell Chastain.

Pastor Chastain was a man of unwavering faith, dedicated to his various congregations throughout the years. He spent over 20 years as the Pastor of Christ Community Church in Marietta, GA. Pastor Chastain had a passion for southern gospel music, which he sang and wrote. Beyond his calling, Bobby was known as a godly man who held his family close to his heart. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and eight sisters.

Pastor Bobby Dan Chastain is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Bettye Jones Chastain; son, Patrick (Christy) Chastain; daughters, Paula (Donald) Williams and Meredith Chastain; grandchildren, Aaron Chastain, Kyle Chastain, Grant Chastain, Chase Williams, Craig Conway, Chad Conway, Holley (Ross) Taylor, Haleigh (Ross) Gehring, Hannah Grayson, and Cliff Ross; great-grandchildren, Jak Chastain, Teddy Chastain, and Everleigh Conway; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. from the Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Wellham and Rev. Eddis Dockery officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Johnny Foster, Chase Williams, and Craig Conway. Interment followed in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Aaron Chastain, Kyle Chastain, Grant Chastain, Chase Williams, Craig Conway, and Chad Conway. The family visited with friends at the church prior to the service on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour of 1:00 P.M.
