Orlin Lawrence Bell, age 85, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 12, 1935, in Blue Ridge, to the late Lawrence Bell and Laura Jane Foster Bell. Orlin was a member of Colwell Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Forest Service where he worked in conservation for many years. He is also preceded in death by brother, Carvin Bell and sister, Judy Bell. Orlin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys Mae Jones Bell, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tony Henson of Epworth; brothers, Harley Bell of Blue Ridge and Junior Bell of Gary, IN; grandchildren, Korey Kolberg, Samantha Henson, and Ryan Henson; and great-grandchildren, Izzy Kolberg, Orin Kolberg, Zelda Kolberg, Liam Henson, and Aidan Henson. Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 2:30 pm, from the Colwell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Pallbearers were Billy Jones, Randy Jones, Brad Watkins, Phil Jones, and Randy Jones. Donations in memory of Mr. Bell may be made to the Colwell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Jane Callihan, P.O.
