Mr. Oren Ray Hardin, age 52 of McCaysville, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in the Heritage Health Care in Blue Ridge, GA. He was born in Cherokee County, NC on April 13, 1955. Mr. Hardin worked as a concrete finisher and was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Andrews, NC. He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Hooper; brothers, Michael Hardin and Clay Hardin.Survivors include his wife, Linda Hardin of McCaysville, GA; daughter Brandi and husband Roy Lee Allen of McCaysville, GA, daughter and Shiloh Hardin and fianc, Shannon Smith of McCaysville, GA, daughter Nichola and husband Rick Williams of Alleghany, NC, daughter Kristy and husband Eli Lowe of NC, daughter, Jessica Hibbert of NC; father and mother Harold and Maxine Day Hardin of Andrews, NC; brother, Jimmy Hardin of Blairsville, GA; sister, Barbara Barker of Andrews, NC; six grandchildren, Jacob Lee Allen, Ashlin Williams, Liam Williams, Brady Lowe, Ethan Taylor and Abby Taylor.Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 21, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Jody Turner and Pastor Steve Jett officiating. A Eulogy was given by Brandi Allen. Music was by Jan Pelfrey and Jenny Pelfrey. Pallbearers were John Queen, Danny Ray Flowers, Mark Turner, Tony Brawley, Robert Turner and Greg Morrow. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Lee Allen, Roy Lee Allen, Leroy Allen, Shannon Smith, Amy Caine, Liam Williams, Jeremy Hickman, Auslin Williams, Brady Lowe, Ronnie Pope, Steve Hooper, Dr. Dinesh Bhatia, Dr. Gary Hunt and Faculty and Staff of Hertiage Health Care.
