Opal Christine Loudermilk Jones, age 90, of Turtletown, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Opal was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Florence Worley Loudermilk. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter, Abigail. She enjoyed crocheting, along with crossword puzzles as a hobby. Opal was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for many years. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Jones and siblings, Junior Loudermilk, Clemmer "Doc" Loudermilk and Jessie Loudermilk. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Susie (Bobby) Baliles; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill (Barbara) Loudermilk, Jerry (Jane) Loudermilk; sister, Irene Loudermilk; sister-in-law Florence Loudermilk; two grandchildren, David Baliles and Doug Baliles; great granddaughter, Abigail Baliles; also nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ray Harper and Rev. Doug Howard officiating. Music will be by Ed Vest. Pallbearers include, Markie Huffman, Danny Allison, Mike Loudermilk, Kenny White, Larry Allen and Doug Prince. Honorary pallbearers include, Lee Nicholson, Rick Boring, Cole Giovannoni, Mitchell Prince, Chad Boring, Justin Beck and Jack Bigham. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church cemetery.
