Mrs. Opal Sue (Stiles) Charles, age 72, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Charles was retired from the Fannin County School System having worked in the school lunchroom for 26 years. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde C. Stiles and Elvie Mae Russell Stiles; and a brother, Poley Stiles.She is survived by her husband Elmo Charles of the home; one son, John and his wife, Jennifer Charles of Hendersonville, TN, two grandchildren, Meagan and Autumn Charles; three sisters and their husbands, Christine and Pete Morgan of Ellijay, GA, Donna Lynn and Bob Verner of Blue Ridge, GA, Carol and Junior Beach of Blue Ridge, GA, and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held Wednesday April 28, 2010 from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Collis and Rev. Glen Collis officiating. Music was provided by the Damascus Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.
