Mrs. Omega Wise Hughes, age 77, of Ducktown, TN passed away August 22, 2011 at her home. Born in Copperhill, TN she was the daughter of the late Leonard Jackson Wise and Geneva Green Wise. She was a long time member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs. Hughes was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Hughes; and three siblings, Wyonia Shearer, David Wise, and Sham Wise. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Donna and Steve Tresslar and Mitzi Hughes all of Ducktown, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Tina Hughes of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Tiffany Collins, Todd Sparks, Kayla Hughes, Brooklyn Hughes, Brady Miller, Brettleigh Miller, Kharcee-Lane Hughes, River Hughes; great grandchildren, Demi-Rhea Collins, Scout Collins, Easton Collins; brothers and sisters, Juanita Donaldson, Alfrata Anderson, Wanda Anderson, Doug Wise, Martha Cantrell, Mary Cronnon, Darlene Stone and Marlene Wise.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 24th, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. No public services have been planned by the request of Mrs. Hughes.
