Ola was born on February 16, 1936 in Mingo County, West Virginia to Riley and Wilda Dillon. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughters; Sarah Elizabeth Little and Mehry Moorehead; four sisters, Lola Taylor, Oma Jean Straub, Grace Stultz, and Antha Robertson; and five brothers, Everett Dillon, William Riley Dillon Jr., Dewey Dillon, John Dillon, and Lee Dillon.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Nicholson; six children, Cathy (Joe) Little of Dahlonega, Cindy (Bill) Power of Gainesville, Drake (Linda) Nicholson of Cornelia, Stacey (Amy) Nicholson of Cartersville, Tom (Judy) Nicholson of Commerce, and Terra Nicholson of Cartersville; sister, Bessie McConnell; brothers, Henry Dillon, Jeffrey (Yvonne) Dillon, Dennis (Billie Jo) Dillon, Paul (Faye) Dillon, and Michael (Deloris) Dillon; sisters-in-law, Faye Dillon and Mary Jo Dillon; fourteen grandchildren, Kristy (Slade) Lail, Karen (Dan) Marschall, Michael (Ren) Little, Dustin (Lulu) Power, Kayla (Austin) Woods, Jennifer (Josh) Ledford, Dillon (Lauren) Nicholson, Ashley (Jordan) Runion, Will (Abby) Nicholson, Riley (Hayley) Nicholson, Jeffrey (Erica) Nicholson, Carley Nicholson, Addison Moorehead and Beyoncé McGhee. Also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren, Jamie and Scarlett Lail, Juniper Little, Ella Power, Beau Woods, Riley Ledford, Makinleigh, Tate, and Henry Runion, James Nicholson, Natalee and Everett Nicholson, Emma and Eleanor Nicholson.

After high school, she attended Marshall University. One day, her brother came to town for a visit and brought along a young man he worked with in Detroit. They stopped to pick her up from school and she was not too keen on the new friend, but he was pretty keen on her. He kept up his pursuit until one day she said, "I was in love." She and James were married in Detroit, MI where she worked at Scott Paper Company and where four of their children were born. They decided to move to Georgia where James was raised and where they had two more children. She was a member of Epworth Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a great influence on the lives of many children. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, cook, gardener, homemaker, and seamstress. She could sew anything and could even make and create things without a pattern. She worked at Levis for a few years where she made many friends and was loved by all her coworkers. She loved her birthplace of West Virginia and enjoyed it every time she got a chance to visit. Every summer when her children were young, she would load up the car with a trunk full of Kool-Aid and sandwich fixings and drive up to Radnor, West Virginia for the annual Dillon family reunion. She had such a pure, kind, and giving heart and wanted more than anything for all her family and friends to know the Lord. She bought bibles for all her brothers and sisters, some nieces and nephews and continued throughout her life to pray for them in hopes that one day they could all spend eternity together in heaven. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren loved and adored her for she always made them feel loved and they knew her love was genuine. She made many memories with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and other family members that will be cherished by them all. Whenever her children said goodbye and I love you, she always responded with "I love you more," and they knew she did. A void will be felt in all the lives of those who loved her, but they know that one day they will be reunited again in heaven and what a day of rejoicing that will be!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children or you may bring a single rose to place on the casket.
