Mr. Norman Van Tassell, Jr., age 54, of Mineral Bluff, GA was born on January 3, 1960 in Cornwall, New York to Norman Sr. and Audrey Van Tassell. Mr. Van Tassell passed away on June 23, 2014.Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Roberta "Robbie" Van Tassell of the home; children, Sarah Lynn Sanchez and Evan Norman Van Tassell with fiance Teresa Mosca; parents, Audrey and and Norman Van Tassell; siblings, Lewis and Maryellen Van Tassell, Cindy Lou and Glen Durant, Laurel Lee and Dan Colwell. Mr. Van Tassell is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.With heavy hearts, family and friends say goodbye to a man they love very much. For all of those who knew Norman during his prime - his sunny, youthful days - they will remember him as a man that loved his family and friends with great affection, enthusiasm, and joy. His favorite past time had always been spending time with his family, but he also enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and the beach. Despite his best efforts, he could not hide his soft spot for animals. He was never a stranger to laughter and he loved to joke and tease with everyone. As a healthy man, he worked hard for his family and loved the truth of God's word, the bible, and had a deep affection for Jehovah God. We anxiously await the day when Jehovah "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore…" (Revelation 21: 4)Memorial services were held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Garland Ashe officiating.
