Mrs. Norma Jewel Harris, age 63, of Zellwood, FL, passed away August 21, 2010 at her home. Born in Gilmer county, GA she was the daughter of the late Rev. George Rubert (Bert) and Betty Lou Long Cochran. She had worked eighteen years as a machine operator for the Levi Strauss Company. She was of the Baptist faith, an active Bridge player and a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James, Jr. and Karen Lloyd of Oklahoma City, OK and Chris and Casa Lloyd of Crestview, FL; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa L. and Todd Guiley of Altamonte Springs, FL; ten grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Lynn Cochran of Jonesboro, GA; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ella Mae and Bobby Anderson of McDonough, GA, Shirley and Jerry Stockton of Blue Ridge, GA, Carolyn and Johnny Leatherwood of Forsyth, GA and Mary Tipton of Fayetteville, GA. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with James Lloyd, Jr. officiating. Music was provided by the Johnny Leatherwood family.
