Nora Lee Jones, age 89, of Turtletown passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at her home. Nora was born on July 20, 1935 in Turtletown to the late Ab Alexander Benefield and Beulah Jane Olivia Dale Benefield. She worked for many years as a machine operator at Shaw Industries. Nora was a member of the Power House of Prayer. She loved the Lord and went home praising Jesus.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winston Woodrow Jones; brothers, Robert Benefield and Clyde Benefield; sister, Nora Lee Powell; and son-in-law, Mitchell Adams.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Adams, Randle (Linda) Jones, Sheila (Mickey) Loudermilk, and Trish (Johnny) Smith; grandchildren, Chuck Adams, Stacey Adams, Jonathan Smith, Jody Smith, Jeremy Jones, Michael Jones, and John Talley; great-grandchildren, Cody Adams, Dustin Adams, Abby Smith, Gracie Burkett, Jennings Adams, Esther Smith, and three others; great-great-grandchildren, Colter Adams, Cope Burkett, and Maidee Adams; sisters, Myrtle Ghourley and Martha Allen; and friend, Ervelene Dilbeck.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music was provided by Tammy Ware and the Jones Brothers. Interment followed in the Craig Family Cemetery with the grandsons of Mrs. Jones serving as pallbearers.
