Mrs. Nellie Ruth Bakowski, age 79 of Decatur, GA passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Dekalb Medical Center-North Decatur in Decatur, GA. She was born on Sunday, December 2, 1934 in Ducktown, TN to the late Oscar McKinley Corn, Sr. and Cora Katherine Sanders Corn. Mrs. Bakowski had worked as an accountant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard Bakowski. Survivors are daughter, Katherine Bakowski of Decatur, GA, brothers, Tommy Corn of Sylvania, GA, John Corn of Parrish, FL and Frank Corn of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Grace Ann Corn of Epworth, GA and Edith Lee of Snellville, GA. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Epworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
