The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Rev. Naymon R. Stiles, age 69, of Murphy, NC who passed away Wednesday, February 27th in the Copper Basin Medical Center. Rev. Stiles was a native of Cherokee County, NC and was a son of the late John & Maude Pickelsimer Stiles. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, J.B., Willis and C.L. Stiles.He is survived by his wife Frances Montgomery Stiles of the home; six sons Johnny, Michael, Ronald and Donald Stiles all of McCaysville, GA, Wayne Stiles of Turtletown, TN and Roger Stiles of Epworth, GA; two daughters Maria Rymer of Copperhill, TN and Deloris Runion of Ducktown, TN; four brothers, Bill, Sterling, Roger and Hayden Stiles all of Murphy, NC; two sisters Dorothy Mundy of Summerville, GA, Sandra Brown of Murphy, NC; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Doug Payne, Rev. Lloyd Deal and Rev. Roger Stiles officiating. Music will be by The Heavenly Echoes. Pallbearers include Basil Williamson, Brandon Stiles, Wayne Stiles,Jr., Joseph Wright, Harold Runion and David Rymer. Honorary pallbearers include Kevin Ray, Joe Hamby, Marion McFarland, Dr. Mahmood Siddiqui and Nephews and Great Nephews. Interment will follow in the Bell Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
