Navada Wayne Magness, age 44, of McCaysville, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Red Bank, TN. He was born on August 28, 1973 in Decatur, GA. He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Copperhill, TN. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a Crematory Operator at Peaceful Endings Pet Crematory. Navada always wanted to have a good time, spread kindness and laughter. He always had a message of peace and love. Nevada adored his two dogs and niece. He loved his family, friends, animals and of course Here Come The Mummies. Navada was preceded in death by his niece, Evie Nicole Satterfield.He is survived by parents, Dr. William and Debbie Mitchell of McCaysville; siblings, Robbii Mitchell of McCaysville, GA, Ruth Ann Atkins of Roswell, GA, Adele Boytin of Locust Grove, GA and David Pack Mitchell of Monticello, GA; and niece, Star Mitchell Morris.A Funeral Mass was conducted on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church at 270 East Main Street, Copperhill, TN 37317. Father Tom Moser was the celebrant. A rosary service was held on Sunday, January 14 at 7:00 pm from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel.
