The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Nathaniel Scott "Nathan" Dillard, age 20, of Farner, TN who passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Nathan was born in Bradley County, TN and was a 2006 graduate of Copper Basin High School. He was employed with the Blue Jeans Pizzeria as a pizza chef. He enjoyed Motorcycles, Bass Guitars, Fast Cars, Collecting Guns, Hunting and being a friend to everyone. He was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.He is survived by mother, Teresa Dillard of Cleveland, TN; father, Scott Dillard of Copperhill, TN; Maternal grandparents, Clyde and Brenda Raper of Farner, TN; Paternal grandparents, Cal and Jean Dillard of Copperhill, TN; Great-Grandparents, Lloyd and Ruth Baker of Murphy, NC; A host of Aunts, Uncle, Cousins and many other friends.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 PM from the New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Guinn Green, Rev. Kenny Taylor and Rev. Farris Reid officiating. Music will be by the church choir. Pallbearers include, Blake Collins, Casey Dillard, Nick Collins, Travis Jory, Josh Palmer, Raymond Akens. Honorary pallbearers include Eric Dillard, Rocky Dillard, Steven Raper, Mark Raper, Cody Dillard, Brandon Dillard, Corey Baldwin, Lucas Raper, Jared Potter, Trent Raper, Dylan Raper and Aaron Klopfer. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
