The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Naomi Amburn Patterson, age 85 of Copperhill, TN, who passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Cherokee County, NC, on Tuesday, February 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Ballew Amburn. She had worked at Arp's Resturant as a cook. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Sandra Patterson of Manchester, TN and Michael and Jane Patterson of Essex, VT; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Cal Dillard of Copperhill, TN and Linda and Vance Deal of Grassy Creek, TN; grandchildren, Scotty Dillard and Rocky Dillard of Copperhill, TN, Sherry Baldwin of Athens, TN, Kirk Deal of Woodstock, GA, Dean Patterson of Manchester, TN, Tonya Deal of Grassy Creek, TN, Chris Deal of Cleveland, TN, Amy Epps of Manchester, TN, Kim Alvarez of Thomasville, NC, Wendy Webster of Thomasville, NC, Brandy Patterson and Amber Patterson of Essex, VT; nineteen great grandchildren also survive.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Music will be provided by her grandson, Casey Dillard. Pallbearers will be Kirk Deal, Jason Baldwin, Rocky Dillard, Dean Patterson, Jimmy Epps and Nathan Dillard. Interment will follow in the Dillard Family Cemetery.
