The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Waters O'Neal, age 77, of Copperhill, TN who passed away on Tuesday October 16th, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born in Polk County TN, to the late Luther and Zellious Allen Waters. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. Mrs. O'Neal was a devout Christian and had been a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie and Joe Waters. Survivors include her husband of sixty one years of marriage, Willard M. O'Neal of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Kimberly O'Neal of Copperhill, TN; brothers, James Waters, Luke Waters, Josh Waters, Charles Waters, Wendell Waters, John Waters, George Waters and Willard Waters all of Copperhill, TN; grandchildren, Samantha O'Neal and Austin O'Neal. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday October 18, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvin O'Neal and Rev. Ed O'Neal officiating. Music will be provided by the Deal Family, Billy Waters and the Macedonia Singers. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Gary Waters, Darren Waters, Brad Waters, Sidney Freeman, Andy Waters, Jeff Waters, Eric Waters and Nathan Henderson. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Tim Jabaley, Joseph Allen and B.J. Howard. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
