Obituary

Mrs. Myrtle Jeanette Harris, age 77, of Blue Ridge passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital. Mrs. Harris was born on May 9, 1945 in Morganton, GA and was the daughter of the late Alfred Clore and Loyce Fain Clore. Jeanette had worked for many years in the food service department of General Motors in Doraville. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter Henry Harris, and by a sister, Barbara Jean Henry.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Dilbeck of Blue Ridge and Scottie (Lisa) Harris of Mineral Bluff; grandchildren, Justin (Lacey) Sisson, Garrison (Gracie) Sisson, Haley Griffin, Cody Harris, Samantha (Adam) Moore, and Pearl Harris; great grandchildren, Charlie Sisson, Graham Sisson, Walter Moore, and Leah Moore; siblings, Gerald (Janette) Clore, Jerry (Peggy) Clore, Geneva Sapp, and Angie (Robert) Jones. Many nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Chapel of Akins-Cobb in Blue Ridge with Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Chastain Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Justin Sisson, Garrison Sisson, Adam Moore, Charlie Sisson, Trey Sisson, and Cody Harris. Matthew Lasley will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Friends may visit the family on Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
