Myrna Adkins Knotts, age 85, of Farner passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1937 in Branchland, WV to the late Millard Adkins and Ellen Tooley Adkins. Myrna was a member of Liberty Baptist Church serving as the church treasurer for over ten years and a nursery director. She enjoyed reading, gardening, especially her roses, and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fletcher Allen Knotts; son, Kenneth Ray Knotts that passed away in 2013; brothers, Dallas Adkins and Millard Adkins Jr.; and sister, Cleo Leonard.

Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Joan Knotts of Sevierville; daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Keith Baeumel of Farner; grandchildren, Allen Baeumel, Nathan Baeumel, Mandy Raper, and Dakota Knotts; and great-grandchildren, Amara Baeumel, Allie Baeumel, Keira Baeumel, Joel Raper, Bryson Raper, Hunter Raper, and Fletcher Baeumel.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM from Liberty Baptist Church, 12760 Highway 294, Murphy, NC 28906 with Rev. Tim Dickey and Rev. Richard Robertson officiating. Music was by Janice Reid, Martie Ansorge and Mark Roberts. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen Baeumel, Nathan Baeumel, Dustin Raper, Dakota Knotts, Hunter Raper, Joel Raper, and Bryson Raper.
