The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mozelle Fain Jones, age 77, of Morganton, Georgia who passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Jones was a native of Fannin County and was a daughter of the late Etherin and Hattie Lue Whitener Fain. She was a homemaker and member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Jones and brother Jack Fain. She is survived by son, John Jones, Jr. of Ellijay, GA; daughters, Katherine Ellis of Blue Ridge, GA, Shirley Chapman of Stockbridge, GA, Linda Jones of Blue Ridge, GA, Nora Baxter of Stockbridge, GA and Judy Rogers of Murphy, NC; brothers, Bob Fain of McDonough, GA, Joe Fain of Ellijay, GA, Allen Fain of Morganton, GA, Frank Fain of Sparta, GA; half brother, Charles Fain of Morganton, GA. thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29th at 1:00 p.m. from the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Geri Worley officiating. Music will be by Barbara Fain and J.C. Dale. Pallbearers include J.R. Hill, Mark Winders, Justin Mason, Dusty Hughes, David Ledford and Joey Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers include Joe Fain and Joe Campbell. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
